The In-Sight 9902L 2K Scanning Smart Camera is a high-resolution self-contained vision system ideal for detailed inspection of large, cylindrical or continuously moving objects. The 9902L captures up to 16,000 lines of 2,000 pixels each to produce 32MP images that can be used to detect the tiniest features and defects. Each pixel line is captured at 67,000 lines per second to keep up with the fastest production lines. This standalone vision system requires only a small view of the target section, making it an ideal choice for installations with limited field of view or installation space requirements.
Independent scanning system
The In-Sight 9902L is the only embedded industrial scanning system that processes images directly on the camera. Handling eliminates the inconvenience of having to install a separate controller. Plus, the IP rating of IP67 protects the system from liquids and dust without the need for an external enclosure.
Inspect long, cylindrical and continuously moving parts
Scanning cameras are an ideal choice for inspecting oversized or cylindrical objects on fast-moving production lines. There are many applications for scanning, the most common include:
- Cylindrical objects, such as car filters and batteries, where 100% if the surface of the product can be inspected as it rotates along the production line
- Label testing on curved surfaces, such as soup containers or bottle wrappers, can be manipulated because it is not controllable into a flat 2D surface for inspection
- Large objects, such as solar panels and car door panels, can be photographed and examined in their entirety
Fast, high-resolution image acquisition
The In-Sight 9902L has a blazing fast 67 kHz line rate, capturing each line of data in as little as 15 microseconds. Capturing 2,000 pixels per line, the camera delivers 32MP (16,000 lines) images allowing vision tools to perform highly detailed inspections.
