Features of 3D Laser DSMax
DSMax is the fastest and highest definition 3D laser on the market for image acquisition and product inspection in 3D. This is the only sensor that offers:
- High scan rate (up to 18 kHz) at full measuring range
- Maximum resolution images (2,000 profile points)
- Fast high dynamic range (HDR) images
The product is suitable for measuring and inspecting very small parts, such as electronic components, which may contain dark or highly reflective features.
Precise 3D inspection of small, detailed parts
DSMax concentrates 2,000 profile points in a range of just 31 mm (FOV). A higher number of profile points spread over a field of view reveals more detail about that part and increases the accuracy of the 3D image allowing for more precise 3D inspection.
Short cycle time
DSMax obtains high-resolution 3D images 5 times faster than other displacement sensors on the market. DSMax uses high-speed, high-speed compression sensor technology and the CoaXPress protocol to achieve scan rates up to 18 kHz (full-field) at maximum resolution to reduce cycle times and maximize throughput .
Optimize images
The DSMax is equipped with a telescopic lens that reduces shadows and delivers high-contrast images. The product achieves this by directing the laser beam straight down to the subject reducing the amount of light reflected out of the lens and increasing the reflected light back into the image. Telecommunications optics are ideal for precision measurements where accuracy, repeatability and throughput are required to tackle the application.
Fast High Dynamic Range (HDR) improves image acquisition
DSMax obtains images with HDR that quickly reduces noise in the image and improves accuracy. HDR prevents the DSMax from being affected by bright or highly reflective features on one part, providing optimal images for machine vision testing.
