Cobot LBR iiwa
LBR iiwa is the world’s first mass-produced cobot. LBR stands for “Leichtbauroboter” (German for light robot), iiwa means “intelligent industrial work assistant”. Cobot LBR iiwa lays the foundation for innovative and sustainable manufacturing processes. For the first time, humans and robots can work together in a tightly controlled work area. Using LRB iiwa cobot helps businesses increase work productivity, thereby saving production costs. Cobot LBR iiwa currently has two versions with 7 and 14 kg payload.
Advantages of Cobot LBR iiwa:
1. Quick response:
Thanks to the joint torque sensors, the LBR iiwa can detect contact immediately thereby reducing force and speed levels, avoiding collisions that are dangerous to people.
2. Can learn
The user can choose from three operating modes and program the LBR iiwa through simulation: indicate the desired location and the Cobot will memorize the coordinates of the guide point. Users can control Cobot with simple operations.
3. Sensitivity
LBR iiwa is connected with servo control for high performance. And it is possible to set the exact mounting position and install the parts quickly.
4. Independence
LBR iiwa’s controller, KUKA Sunrise Cabinet, makes starting up extremely simple and fast.
